This program, which has been in testing since March, is currently available on an invite-only basis to creators in the U.S. Meta has indicated that it may expand the program to other regions if it proves successful.
According to Meta, the bonus program involves personalized requirements for each creator. This initiative could encourage Instagram users with large followings to share more on Threads, potentially bringing their audience along. Instagram’s app already suggests Threads to users, possibly nudging them to check Meta’s platform more often if their favorite creators are active there.
